Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She has received a lot of praise as a pioneer in the field of witnesses from children as well as memories of eyewitnesses in legal settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has been recognized with numerous internationally and national awards. She has collaborated with a variety of governments and organizations across the world on research and guidelines pertaining to children who are victims of the legal system. She works as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as it was the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional groups, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a member of the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Division as well as Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
