Anika Noni is an American actor and singer. Her most well-known role is Tiana the her first African American princess in The Princess and the Frog. The Disney Company named her a legend in 2011. Rose was in Lorrell Robinson in the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born September 6 in 1971. She is an American actress and singer. Most famously, she is known for her role as Tiana as the Princess, and the Frog's 2009 African-American princess. She was named a Disney legend in the year 2011. Also, she has a prominent performance, in the role of Lorrell Robinson in Dreamgirls (2007) which has been nominated to win an Academy Award. And she plays LaVerne jukebox Ganner in the Starz series Power. Her performance in the theater are also well-known, particularly her roles in the role of Emmie Thbodeaux and as the character in Caroline or Change, a Broadway musical Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded an award for the Tony Award Best Featured actress in a Musical. Her nomination was to win an award for the Tony Award Best Featured actor in a play for the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun.
