Anna Silk
Anna Silk is a Canadian actor who was born on January 31, 1974. She is best known for her role as Bo in the Showcase Television show Lost Girl. Silk was born in Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter an academic, as well as Ilkay Silk, a prominent performer, actress, and playwright as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna holds some of her earliest memories of watching and going to rehearsals for plays. Silk was a part of a variety of commercials while she was young. Silk was a graduate of St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas was engaged in two productions in the theater's early days, such as Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Silk met her spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an Actor's workshop located in Los Angeles in 2007. They got married in December 2009 after a civil wedding ceremony. The couple renewed their vows on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton at an Jewish wedding ceremony, after Silk made the decision to convert to Judaism. Silk Cooperman gave birth to her first child Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron, her second child was born May 13, 2016. Silk's television work is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009 Silk was a part of the main Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk revealed to fans the good news that she had become pregnant while filming season 3. The show was a pre-show exclusive for Season Three. This was broadcasted by Showcase in an exclusive Season Three show held January 6, 2013 before the show's premiere. Silk is doing work on the show since the season's third finale episode was conceived on January 6, 2013 on Twitter, announced her intention to return the 4th of June 2013 when Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production of fourth season. Her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender on Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top Television Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top Television Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk is one of the most watched shows on social networks.
